Chanakya is a Perth trained Rheumatologist who believes in providing world class holistic care for patients with rheumatological conditions. 

He has public appointments at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Rockingham General Hospital.

Chanakya completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2009. He underwent advanced physician training in Rheumatology and General Medicine across tertiary centres of excellence for five years. 

During this time he also conducted research on various topics including Inflammatory arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Vasculitis and Gout. His research has been published in peer reviewed journals (including first author publications in Annals of The Rheumatic Diseases - the highest impact factor rheumatology journal) and has presented his research at national and international conferences.

 

Chanakya has also completed a four year Master of Clinical Research degree at UWA.   

Chanakya has been the secretary of the WA branch of the Australian Rheumatology Association and also a board member of the Advanced Training Committee for Rheumatology at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
